Frequently Asked Questions
Physiotherapy is a highly effective, hands-on approach to healthcare designed to restore, maintain, and maximize your mobility, function, and overall well-being. It focuses on physical rehabilitation, injury prevention, and long-term health.
While every patient’s recovery goals are unique, our physiotherapists will conduct a comprehensive assessment to evaluate the specific challenges you are facing. Whether you are dealing with an active injury, physical restrictions, or chronic pain, we help you relearn proper movement patterns, increase your strength, and improve your flexibility and balance. We utilize a variety of advanced manual therapy techniques and modalities—including Shockwave, Laser, Dry Needling, and targeted exercise therapy—to get you actively involved in your own recovery!
If you are experiencing pain, stiffness, or limited mobility, physiotherapy can likely help. Many musculoskeletal injuries, surgical recoveries, neurological conditions, and balance issues see significant, rapid improvement through dedicated physiotherapy care. Working closely with you (and your doctor, if applicable), we can evaluate your specific symptoms and determine the best path forward. Contact us today to set up an initial assessment or a telephone consultation to discuss your condition.

Your first visit is all about understanding your body and creating a roadmap to recovery. Here is what you can expect:
- The Conversation: We will discuss your medical history, your current complaints, what aggravates or eases your pain, and how this injury is impacting your daily life. Most importantly, we will discuss your specific rehabilitation goals.
- The Assessment: Your therapist will perform a comprehensive physical evaluation. This may include checking your range of motion, testing your muscle strength, assessing your posture, and performing specific tests to identify the root cause of your pain.
- The Game Plan: Based on our findings, we will formulate a personalized treatment plan with your input. This plan will outline how often you should come in, what your home exercise program will look like, and the short- and long-term goals we will achieve together.
We recommend wearing comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows easy access to the area we will be evaluating. For example, if you have a knee problem, shorts are best. For a shoulder issue, a tank top is ideal. If you are coming straight from work, don't worry—our facility has private restrooms and treatment rooms where you can change, and we keep appropriate clothing stocked just in case you forget yours!
To ensure a smooth and easy first visit, please bring the following:
- A prescription or referral from your doctor (if you have one, though it is not always required).
- Your extended healthcare insurance information (we will make a copy of your card).
- Any case manager contact info, phone numbers, and claim numbers (if your visit is related to a motor vehicle accident or WSIB claim).
- Note: Please ensure you have completed your digital intake form sent via email or text before arriving. If you couldn't complete it online, simply arrive 10 minutes early to fill out the paperwork in our clinic.
Your initial Comprehensive Assessment will be 1 hour long, giving us plenty of time to fully evaluate your condition and build your treatment plan. Standard follow-up treatment sessions are typically 30 minutes per visit.
